WHAT TO COOK??

BBQ Festival competition is run per meat /protein category. 

  • Pork 

  • Lamb

  • Brisket

  • Beef

  • Ribs

  • Chicken

  • Sausage (Store bought sausages, Not Allowed)

  • Desserts

  • Sea Food 

  • Vegetarian 

  • Specialty Meat / Other (snake, emu, croc, etc)

HOW TO COOK IT??

When entering our BBQ competition, all entries are to be cooked using the below BBQ methods.

  • Smoked

  • Roasted

  • Enclosed fire

  • Flamed grill

  • Slow Cooked

  • Chargrill 

  • Rotisserie 

  • Camp ovens 

All cooking is to be done on site, with all food and safety requirement meet.

Start cooking  from 9am on the Friday, until category hand in time. Each entry is to be submitted with 5-mins of the allocated time.

Each competitor will be issued with a 3x6m cooking area. if you require more space please contact our team to discuss options.

We know cooking BBQ can take a long time!!

We understand that cooking a great BBQ can take hours or minutes,

we welcome you to arrive and setup the day before and start cooking,

when you feel you need to.... 

As long as you submit your entry, with the time frame for your chosen category.

We welcome you to camp the night, if you like...

All equipment must be set up by 9am of the day of the competition.

HOW TO ENTER??

We welcome all to enter, its easy!!

  • To enter; please purchase via link bellow tickets, this ticket acts as your entry ticket into the categories. (you can enter in to as many as you like).

  • Once you have your ticket, arrive at the BBQ festival. Staff will issue you a cooking site location on arrival, sites are normally 3x6m.

  • Setup your cooking equipment. (Can be setup Friday before event) all equipment must be set up by 9am of the day of the competition.

  • Start cooking!!

  • Once setup, check in with one of our onsite teams, who will issue you your presentation box per categories and record your ticket.

  • Most importantly, Best of luck!!
